Pw Torch Glossary

Features
•Easy to browse
•Hundreds of different "terms"
•"Terms" dating back to the 80's

The PW torch glossary is a wrestling fans heaven, the app covers the many different "insider" words/phrases used in business and there terminology. (What they each mean)

The app is laid out very nicely & in a simple way. You have the words & phrases set out in a list format and you just scroll up and down to find more, whilst selecting the one you want.

They are set out alphabetically, however one problem I have found is there is no jump for a certain letter, which can get frustrating. You also have a great color scheme in this app, with a black and red, making the app not to dark, nor to bright to browse through, something that would normally put me off a app of this type.

Content in this app is superb, & even though it's a little more pricey than some may like, the app is rich and full with many different terms, which are explained brilliantly, so that even young children could understand each "term". The app also baste many "terms" which as a wrestling fan for almost 15 years I did not no off!

This app is excellent however I would like to see it come as a in app purchase for the original "PW Torch" app, making it easier to get terms and news on the go, whilst saving space on your iPhone for another app. But if you are looking for a simple user friendly, content loaded app, for pro wrestling "terms" this is the app for you.

Slash's Arcade Rocker

Slash's Arcade Rocker

Price:59p or 99cents

Key Features
•Play to your own music
•One of the Cheapest games of it's type
•Free songs included

Rock out like Slash on the latest of rhythm based music games.
Slash's arcade rocker brings the music, and fun to your iPhone/IPod Touch.

The menu is very easy to navigate and you can be playing very quickly, if you want to use your own songs it's a little tricky at first, but is easy fairly soon afterwords, just press the other button on the song selection menu.

Playing the game is not very good, the first thing I noticed was the massive graphic difference from this game compared to rockband on the iPhone, rockband has everything move not just the noted and visually looks a he'll of a lot better. Also when trying to hold two long notes together at the same time the app never seems to respond and you frustratingly loose points, a real major bug to the app that needs to be fixed, seeing as it's one of the main parts of the game.

Song Selection
Songs are extremely poor on this app, there is only a few songs properly designed for the game, and you have to own them or buy them from iTunes. There all manly slash songs and there's only about 4 or 5. Using your own songs is nice but it just doesn't look right when playing, mainly because the song isn't designed for the game.

Overall
The app has a great potential, with a legend as the role model of the game, however lack of songs and poor gameplay/graphics really let this app down. Maybe a future update can save this game?

Papertoss: World Tour Review

Posted by Sean Walford on 02:35
Papertoss

59p or 99cents

Papertoss brings back possibly the greatest office time killer ever, on your iPhone.

Papertoss is a slick pick up and play game, in which you have to throw a piece of paper into a office bin. The bin starts of
relatively close but gradually gets further away. On top of the distance factor you also have winds come in and the game tells you how strong the winds are. Power isn't important in this app however the wind speed is what the game is all about, although the further the away the bin is, the harder to get the paper in, you really have to focus and take into play the windspeed.

The menu looks and feels beautiful, you have a notice board with lots of sticky labels on it, they each have different pictures and these represent the different levels you can play.

You unlock each level after getting 3 shots in a row on the previous level.
The theme of the game is world tour and they really stuck to it, every level is either a famous landmark and or tradition to a certain country.

The games graphics are astonishingly smooth, from the water in the background of levels to the paper flying into the bin. Although the game has a cartoony look to it, the game still looks great.

Addictive?
This game is addictive at first, when you are trying to complete all the levels, however once you have completed them all it doesn't really keep you coming back for more, which is slightly disappointing for a game of it's type. Although when you go to play again after a while of ignoring it the game feels new, fresh, and good to play again.

Overall
A great little game, that is well worth the money in terms of, graphics, look, feel, gameplay and controls.

ICall Review

ICall

Price:Free

Key Features
•Free calls to USA & Canada Landlines
•Save Contacts
•Background Calling

ICall offers many very good voip call packages to most countries landlines & mobiles.

Appzreviewed has tested there excellent free package which offers unlimited calls to USA & Canada Landlines and Mobiles.

Set up is a bit of a pain as once you have signed up it asks you to ring a special account activation number (you have to ring from a actual phone) that charges a lot, however a little trick is all you need to get past this. When signing up make sure your near a PC loaded with a web browser and flash all working. Leave it on www.icall.com and download/sign up to the app. Choose the free package and then it will ask you to ring a number. Now for the tick on the website go to call from the web. Let it load then ring the number, you where asked to on the app, Via the website, within a minute your account will be activated and your off, with free unlimited calls to USA & Canada Landlines.

Is it worth the hassle?
Absolutely the calls are very fast and clear, there is one advet every time you first use the app after switching your IPhone/IPod Touch and reloading a advert is played before tour first call. It's very short and we can deal with it seeing as it's saving us a packet.

Other features of this app include loading your contacts already set on your original included contacts app,

also you can have a background image when your calling pretty handy for remembering codes etc or just having a pretty background.

Overall
A great little app, a slight pain to set up however it's worth it for the free calls.

Pocket Mclovin Review

Pocket Mclovin

Price: 59p or 99Cents

Chick a chick a yeah gangsters, yes that's right your favourite dork Mclovin is now available as a soundboard app on the iPhone.

The app it's self features over 20 phrases from his hit movie Superbad, mainly his best catch phrases from the film it's self.

It's a very simple app to use with just one screen with all the phrases written in boxes, you simply select the one you want and it plays. .

All the clips are official however, they have been modified slightly to sound clearer on your iPhone.

Overall
This app is a good laugh, but should probably be free, as I personally feel there isn't enough here to make it worth the money, there's just a few clips, and not enough, maybe adding some video clips or something else would make it feel like you have payed money for a good app. But if you are as big as a fan of Mclovin as me, then you won't mind parting money for it.

Imobsters Review

Posted by Anonymous on 11:53

Imobsters
Price: Free

Imobsters is the classic Money/Health/Energy game which are seen on sites such as Facebook and now on the iTunes Store. I have played many of these MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) games and this seemed to interest me the most. The layout is easy to get used to and you can become good at the game in a matter of hours of playing time. Once you get good at the game, you can use strategies to overwhelm your unknown Mobster opponents and earn millions of Dollars from completing jobs/missions that become more available to you as you progress through the levels. I got used to the game in a matter of minutes and was soon rolling in money as fast as planes fly. The game is free from the iTunes Store but you can buy 'Points' with real money to gain an advantage over everyone else playing iMobsters. This is what lets down the game, having money to splash out wherever you like may be fun and entertaining for some people, who can gain a massive advantage over their opponents, while others might not want to spend ridiculous amounts of money on a game for an iPhone/iPod Touch.

Another letdown for this game is knowledge. I can play the game and spend millions, sometimes billions of Dollars on weapons, income, etc. and still get demolished by other Mobsters. This leaves me oblivious as to what I can do to become much stronger. Even upgrading Attack and Defense still left me vulnerable to even Mobsters with a lower level than me! Every now and again I attack the people who have the lowest level on my list and I still lose a considerable amount of money and health. This is where your fellow Mobsters come into play to help you you though, as every single Mobster has a unique 6-digit code that anyone can enter to become friends with them and add them to their Mobster army. Having more Mobsters, obviously, boosts your chances of winning battles and being able to complete a wider variety of missions. This is yet another let down for the game, however. Not everyone has 100's of friends who have an iPod Touch/iPhone and the iMobsters game on it. This can leave you even more vulnerable to attack as other Mobsters can see how many Mobsters are in your army, and if they see that your Mobster army is small, they are more likely, if not certain, to attack you.

You can buy Mobsters called 'Hired Guns' from the 'Godfather', however. This may seem like an excellent solution until you realise you have to buy them with points, which are only gained by spending real money. So once again you are stuck in a loop.

My advice is to only download and play this game often either if you are willing to spend a considerable amount of money on this application, or if you have a decent amount of friends/acquaintances who have the game so you can add them to your Mobster army, which is the key factor in winning battles.

I rate this game, 7/10 as it is enjoyable for most people but fustrating for others.

Doodle Jump Review

Posted by Sean Walford on 02:54
Doodle jump by Lima Sky

Price: 59p or 99cents

Doodle jump is a simple, boring, idea, taken revamped, with weapons, monsters, jet-packs trampolines and more.

Doodle jump requires you to jump from pad to pad without missing a one and falling, you use the built in accelerometer to control the litle creature simply known as a doodle.

On your way to the top (which is un reachable the game requires you to just go as high as you possibly can) you get many little boosts and barriers on your way.

There's many different monsters and they vary thanks to the brilliance of the themes option, that is constantly updated.

You get different themes to play on the game, such as a rainforest theme,

a snow theme,

a space theme,

and more. The guys behind the app update it with a new theme every month or to, this will keep you coming back for more. .

Easter eggs
There is many nice little extras which require a few minutes of your time to find, VIA the Internet. Here's a example change your hi-score name to one of the pocket god creatures and the doodle changes to a character from pocket god.

Addictive
The gameplay is insanely addictive, you will start one round, die, then go oh just one more try, 30 minutes later, crap I'm late for work. So be warned it's the most addictive game to date on the iPhone.

High-scores
High-scores seem fairly important in this game and when playing you can see where others have reached, there name is on the right hand side, giving this game a more competitive edge. When getting past someone else feels great, I really don't no why.

Overall
This game is worth every penny, it's fun, looks great and Is very addictive. Everything you want in a good game.

Justin.tv Review

Posted by Sean Walford on 02:03
Justin.tv

Price:Free

Key Features
•Every live stream on the desktop version is also available on the IPhone.
•Chat with everyone on the stream

Justin.tv brings you 24/7 live entertainment with over 6000 Channels streaming every day!

Justin.tv is a website where users can create there own live web stream, free of charge, streams differ from live fish tanks, to top hollywood T.V. shows. (Not sure how legal all the streams are, so watch at your own risk.)

The app has a simple navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, in which you can search for different streams, quickly, & easily.

.

Quality of the streams is very hit and miss, at points it can be the same quality as the desktop version of Justin.tv, but other points it can be very laggy. I also have found that often the stream starts fine and within less than 5 minutes it can become so bad it's unwatchable, that's including the audio that goes out of sync with the video. Restarting the stream can fix this for another 5 or so minutes.

Bugs
This app is currently overloaded with bugs, such as not being able to favourite channels, which also turns the stream off and crashes the app, needing you to restart it.

Also the categories icon only appears when you change the language, which is completely bizarre.

Commenting on streams using the chat is fairly easy but it's quite big and takes up half the screen, ruining the stream for you.

You cannot stream to your own account via your iPhone, a feature rival site Ustream has available on there iPhone app. As for now it looks like there is no plans to implement this feature into the app.

Overall
Another app with great potential, yet they just have not hit the nail on the head with it. It's to buggy and laggy to watch, or use.
